A tragic and violent incident occurred on the night of last Tuesday, November 18 in Bogotá, where a young woman died in front of the Bulevar Niza shopping center, in the town of Suba.
According to preliminary information and reports received on emergency line 123, the events were triggered after a heated argument that occurred between several people on the road. Witnesses indicated that, apparently, the man involved in the altercation decided to leave the scene and got into his car.
The victim, identified as Laura Fabiana, who was sharing with friends, would have intervened at that moment, trying to prevent the driver from leaving the scene.
It was in the middle of this action that, according to the first police verifications, the man reversed the vehicle and ended up running over Laura. The young woman died at the scene due to the severity of the impact.

The Bogotá Metropolitan Police has initiated an investigation into the events, to achieve the full identification and capture of the subject, who fled the area after the accident.
This case of violence has generated alarm in the capital, which so far in 2025 has already reported 13 cases of feminicide. The Police have assured that, in all the femicides recorded, those responsible have been captured, so the driver’s immediate arrest is expected.
The authorities are seeking to clarify whether the attack was an intentional act or whether it was derived from the heat of the dispute, although the action of running over the victim after an argument leads to investigating the case in the light of gender violence.
