A homicide occurred within the MIO mass transportation system in Cali. The station’s surveillance cameras captured the dramatic scene in which the victim, already injured, gets off a bus and staggers along the platform while those around him watch in alarm.

The citizen, visibly stunned and looking for help, ended up collapsing seconds later. Although he was immediately taken to a medical center, he died minutes later due to the severity of his injuries.

The authorities confirmed that the attack derived from an act of intolerance that began for a minimal reason: a dispute over a seat inside the vehicle.

According to Brigadier General Henry Bello, commander of the Metropolitan Police, the confrontation originated when the alleged aggressor tried to occupy the same place on the bus where the victim was or was going. The argument quickly escalated into a violent attack.

In the middle of the fight, the woman attacked the citizen with a sharp weapon, causing several wounds that ultimately cost him his life.

The uniformed officers patrolling the area managed to capture the aggressor at the scene and seized the weapon used. For the moment, the woman was placed under an intramural security measure for the crime of homicide.
