The quick reaction of two uniformed Police officers prevented a fire from spreading inside a home located in the Marsella neighborhood, in the town of Kennedy, west of Bogotá. The incident occurred while the police were on duty and responded to the urgent call from the community, which alerted about a large amount of smoke coming out of the property.
Upon arriving at the scene, the uniformed officers found that one of the rooms of the house was on fire and that the occupants could not access the affected room. Given the seriousness of the situation and the risk of the fire spreading, the police made the decision to break one of the windows to enter the house.
With the support of neighbors, who provided buckets of water and fire extinguishers, the uniformed officers began work to contain the fire and prevent further damage. The joint action allowed the fire to be controlled preliminarily while emergency agencies arrived.
