The tranquility of the morning of this Thursday, February 5, was interrupted by a fatal accident on the road that leads to the town of Santa Elena.
According to the first reports from the authorities and relief agencies, a serious traffic accident near the sector known as El Silletero forced the total closure of the vehicular passage, leaving a tragic balance and completely collapsed mobility in the area.

Motorcyclists were involved in the incident, who, according to preliminary versions, had collided violently.
Unfortunately, this accident left at least one person dead at the scene and several more injured, who were initially helped by passers-by before the arrival of ambulances and Medellín Firefighters personnel.

At this time, units of the Mobility Secretariat and criminalistics agents are carrying out the technical inspection of the body and the corresponding removal.
Traffic authorities recommend travelers take alternative routes, such as Vía Las Palmas, while the road is cleared and traffic flow is restored.
It is expected that in the next few hours a detailed report will be delivered on the identity of the victim and the health status of the people transferred to nearby healthcare centers.
