Valle del Cauca demonstrated its power on the slopes and won the title of champion in the skating discipline in the national final of the Intercollegiate Games.

The last day, dedicated to the exciting road tests, concluded with a total of 12 medals awarded, sealing an outstanding performance for the Valle del Cauca delegation.

Valle del Cauca led the skating medal table by finishing with four gold medals and three silver medals, securing first place in the discipline.

They were followed in the medal table by Bogotá, Santander and Córdoba, each with two gold metals.

Skating thus closes its participation in the Games, consolidating itself as a key discipline in Colombian sport, given its relevance and results at an international level.

The most outstanding results of the final day, in the road tests, several athletes shone with their own light.

In the women’s points race, the gold went to Silvana Gil from Caldas, the silver to Salomé Molina from Antioquia and the bronze to Isabella García from Santander.

In the men’s points race, the gold went to Luis Carlos Revelo from Bogotá, debutant in the final, the silver to Dilan Bermúdez from Cundinamarca and the bronze to Sergio González from Cundinamarca.

Returning to the women’s circuit, the gold went to Gisell Caicedo from Valle del Cauca, adding a new gold for her delegation.

The silver went to Emmily Gutiérrez from Antioquia, and the bronze to Paula Andrea Mogollón from Casanare.

Returning to the men’s Circuit, the gold went to Santiago Saavedra from Valle del Cauca, after surpassing his rivals by millimeters.

For his part, the silver went to Santiago Bornacelly from Atlántico and the bronze to Juan Felipe Silva from Santander.
