The Attorney General’s Office managed to capture and prosecute a woman in Cali, Valle del Cauca, for her alleged responsibility in serious sexual crimes committed against her own minor daughter. The defendant, whose name is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim, was detained in a prison after not accepting the charges brought by the authorities.

The investigative activities carried out by the Prosecutor’s Office revealed the illegal actions of the woman, who allegedly subjected her 6-year-old daughter to different sexual abuses on several occasions, in events recorded in her place of residence between 2024 and June 2025.

The investigation began thanks to the alert from the victim’s father, who discovered explicit material on a cell phone showing the attacks committed by the mother.

Following the complaint, the authorities seized different electronic devices, in which at least 13 recordings were identified. This film material not only proved the repeated abuses, but also suggests that it would have been subject to commercialization.

Due to the seriousness of the findings, a prosecutor from the Special Investigation Unit for Crimes against Children and Adolescents (Uenna) of Cali charged him with aggravated sexual acts with a minor under 14 years of age and pornography with a person under 18 years of age.

Although the defendant did not accept her responsibility in the concentrated hearings, the forcefulness of the evidence led to the imposition of a security measure on her in a detention center.
