A traffic incident was recorded in the early hours of this Saturday morning on the Transversal Superior, generating alert among mobility authorities and passers-by in the El Poblado sector.

According to the preliminary report, the events occurred at 06:34 am at the height of Carrera 25 and Calle 2 Sur, specifically on the Transversal Superior overpass (South-North direction), in the vicinity of the El Tesoro Shopping Center.

The scene of the accident The authorities reported that it was a collision of a private car against the railing of the bridge. Upon arriving at the scene, traffic officers found the vehicle in a state of abandonment, without the driver present at the scene.

However, the report details that, minutes after the units arrived, a person showed up at the scene claiming to be a companion of the person driving the car.

A crane with material has been dispatched to the site to extract the vehicle and secure the affected railing structure. Drivers are advised to travel with caution through the area while the lifting work is completed.
