On the morning of this Thursday, October 30, TransMilenio collapses in Bogotá due to motorcyclist protests.

The demonstrations caused the temporary closure of more than 20 stations and serious effects on mobility in the southwest and south of the capital.

Among the stations out of service are Portal Américas, Biblioteca Tintal, Banderas, Mandalay, Américas con Boyacá, Marsella, Pradera, Distrito Grafiti and Puente Aranda, among others.

In addition, the service of feeder routes in Portal Américas, Banderas and Portal Sur was suspended.

According to TransMilenio, more than 373,000 users were affected by the closures and blockades that have been recorded since the early hours of the day.

The most critical points are on Av. Villavicencio with Av. Ciudad de Cali, Carrera 79 with Calle 39A Sur, Carrera Séptima with Calle 32 and the Autopista Sur with Av. Villavicencio, where motorcyclists block main lanes and roundabouts.

Mobility authorities recommend that citizens plan their trips in advance and look for alternative routes, while system service is restored and circulation in the city normalizes.
