Minuto30.com .- A violent explosion shook the Las Acacias neighborhood, south of Neiva, early this Tuesday, November 11, leaving a tragic result of one person dead and two more injured.

According to the first versions of the authorities, the detonation would have originated in a house located on Carrera 27A with Calle 1, where gunpowder was allegedly stored.

The explosion was of such magnitude that it caused a loud noise that alarmed the residents of the area and affected another nearby home.

Relief agencies and the police went to the scene to deal with the emergency. The explosion caused considerable material damage to the structures. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the amount of gunpowder stored and the exact circumstances of the accident.
