The Attorney General’s Office, through a sectional prosecutor, presented before a judge with a guarantee control function in Manizales (Caldas) an individual, allegedly responsible for the crime of aggravated death of the animal.

The events investigated occurred on the morning of October 31, in the Los Limones neighborhood of the municipality of La Dorada (Caldas), where the defendant apparently violently beat a cat.

The owner of the animal noticed the incident and alerted the National Police who captured the man in flagrante delicto. The investigated person was left at the disposal of the judicial authorities to be processed in accordance with the parameters of Law 2455 of 2025.

The defendant did not accept the charges.
