Colombia finalizes details for the start of the karate, artistic swimming and rugby 7 competitions this Thursday, December 4, on the fourteenth day of competitions of the XX Bolivarian Games Ayacucho-Lima 2025.

The Colombian contingent is preparing to add more medals in the important multi-sport event with the entry into the scene of three key disciplines.

Colombian karate begins its participation in the Sports Coliseum of the San Ignacio de Loyola University. The kata and kumite competitions will run until next Sunday, December 7, and will be attended by 13 national athletes.

One of the figures to follow is Valentina Zapata, who has an outstanding career with medals in multiple international championships and represented the country in the last Chengdu 2025 World Games.

The aquatic emotions continue at the Aquatic Center of the National Sports Village (Videna) with artistic swimming. The women’s solo and duet events will be held until Friday, December 5.

Three national sports enter action in the XX Bolivarian Games

Colombia will appear with three athletes, among whom Emily Minante stands out, known for her international experience and for having won bronze in the free mixed duet at the Somabay 2025 World Cup.

The Andrés Avelino Cáceres Sports Complex in Lima will be the venue for rugby 7 until Saturday, December 6, with participation in both branches for Colombia.

Women’s Branch: A two-round round-robin format will be played, where the team with the most points will win the gold medal.

Male Branch: They will compete in a round-robin round-robin. The first four teams in the table will advance to the semifinals in search of a place in the final.
