The Massive Integrated of the West (MIO), the public transportation system of the Valle del Cauca capital, will have a special service plan to mobilize the thousands of attendees to the two concerts that the Barranquilla superstar Shakira will offer in Cali: on Saturday, October 25 and Sunday, October 26, 2025 at the Pascual Guerrero stadium.

“Mayor Alejandro Eder is committed to consolidating Cali as a venue for major events and we, convinced that the MIO must be a fundamental part of that purpose, make our experience in urban mobility available, as we have done for example during the ‘Petronio Álvarez’ Festival. Thus we hope to contribute to making these concerts successful,” said Álvaro José Rengifo, president of Metro Cali.

The plan includes the provision of 50 buses that will operate on three special routes that will leave the stadium, in the San Fernando neighborhood, to the north, south and east of Cali, once the concerts end, around midnight. The objective: to offer a comfortable, economical and safe transportation alternative for arrival and return home.

“We want the people of Cali to enjoy the show to the fullest and make it easier for them to return home. This plan is an effort to make the concert experience pleasant, from the moment they leave their homes until they return,” added Rengifo.

Key details of the special service

The special return routes will be dispatched continuously, as the buses fill up, and will operate after the usual MIO hours, that is, from 11:00 pm to 2:00 am

“The process will be very simple. At the end of the concert, those who wish to return to the MIO only have to walk to 5th Street, in front of the Pan-American Park or Parque de las Banderas, where our buses will be waiting for them,” explained Daniel Parra, Director of Operations at Metro Cali.

There will be personnel at the point to guide users. “Payment for the ticket can be made with debit or credit cards, Visa or Mastercard, through open payment technology, or with the traditional MIO card,” added Parra.

The three special MIO routes are designed to cover hotel, commercial and residential sectors of the city. Its operation will be on demand and users will be able to indicate their destination using the bell inside the buses.

The North Route begins at the stadium, takes 5th Street and serves the sectors surrounding San Antonio and downtown; then take Avenue 4 and serve the hotel zone of El Peñón, Centenario, Granada and the Municipal Administrative Center (CAM). It runs along 6th Avenue North, from 12th Street to serve the sectors of Santa Mónica, San Vicente, Versalles, Chipichape Shopping Center, Prados del Norte and La Flora. Turn right on Calle 52 to attend Vipasa, Torres de Comfandi, Flora Industrial and end your journey in Chiminangos, on Carrera 2 with Calle 62.

Know the MIO routes to get to see Shakira

Although the MIO connects you from any part of the city to Shakira’s concerts, eight routes of its normal operation are recommended that stop at the Estadio or Manzana del Saber stations, as they are the fastest and most direct to get to the events, without the need to use other means of transportation.

Routes E21, T31, T47 and T51, which serve the MIO Stadium station, will double their transport capacity on Sunday, going from operating in standard-type buses with 84 passengers to operating in articulated buses with a capacity for 160 passengers.

With this initiative, Metro Cali reaffirms its commitment to the city and the great events that strengthen Cali’s identity. The invitation is to wear the MIO with pride, to enjoy these world-class concerts and to move around Cali in a safe, practical and sustainable way.
