In the last few hours, the Bogotá Metropolitan Police managed to recapture two escaped prisoners from the Barrios Unidos Police Station on November 9.
The detainees, who had an arrest warrant for aggravated robbery, were found by the authorities in a home located in the Venecia neighborhood, in the town of Tunjuelito, south of the capital.
“These two people are being placed at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office for the crime of prisoner escape. We invite the community to provide us with information that will allow us to capture the other two people who are still at large.”declared the commander of the Tunjuelito Police Station, Ibrihan Cuero.
According to the official report, there are still two inmates to be recaptured. The four had escaped on November 9, after the station’s uniformed officers were outnumbered by the detainees, who attacked them to escape.
