Express kidnapping seems to be the mode of the day between Meta and Caquetá. Just a few hours after being released this Tuesday, November 4, the two National Army soldiers who had been kidnapped were detained again. The failed delivery operation occurred in San Juan de Lozada, a border area between both departments.

A commission from the MAPP/OAS (Mission to Support the Peace Process of the Organization of American States) went to the scene to pick up the uniformed men, who had initially been handed over to a priest.

However, the return to tranquility was short-lived: before they could be guarded by the Army again, the soldiers were detained again. Apparently, they moved them 22 kilometers to another point yet to be defined.

This morning the Army had confirmed his release after several hours of uncertainty. The kidnapping occurred in the Getsemaní village, in La Macarena (Meta), after a reconnaissance and support operation for the CTI of the Prosecutor’s Office.
