The intelligence agencies and the Attorney General’s Office have given names and faces to those responsible for one of the bloodiest terrorist actions against the Public Force this year.

These are José Sánchez Navarro, alias ‘Wilser’, and Alonso Contreras Ramírez, alias ‘Fercho’, top leaders of the Camilo Torres front of the ELN. Named as the intellectual authors of the attack on the military base of the Ricaurte Battalion in Aguachica, Cesar. Which left seven soldiers dead and 31 injured.

At 36 years old, alias ‘Wilser’ has a dark criminal history spanning more than two decades. Identified as the top leader of the structure, an explosives expert and sniper.

For his part, alias ‘Fercho’, 44 years old, is designated as the logistical and operational coordinator of the structure. With 18 years of experience in the insurgency and arrest warrants in force for terrorism and rebellion, he would have been in charge of articulating the movement of the attackers and the war material used in the attack in Aguachica.
