The Attorney General’s Office revealed the sexual abuse of which a 7-year-old boy was the victim, by a relative of his.

The evidence collected by a prosecutor from the Special Unit for the Investigation of Crimes against Children and Adolescents (UENNA) allowed a judge with a guarantee control function to impose a security measure in a prison center on the person now being investigated.

The events occurred between 2023 and last July when the defendant would have taken advantage of his proximity to the minor, who was left in charge of care under the same home. As it was determined, the abuses occurred in the home of the victim’s grandmother, located in La Dorada (Caldas).

The Prosecutor’s Office charged the investigated person with the crimes of abusive sexual intercourse with a minor under 14 years of age and sexual acts with a minor under 14 years of age, both aggravated behaviors. None of the charges were accepted by the defendant, who was issued an arrest warrant to comply with the imposed measure.
