The Cali Metropolitan Police dealt a forceful blow against micro-trafficking and criminal structures that operate in the east of the city, after dismantling the criminal group known as ‘Los del Plan’, accused of boosting the sale of drugs and being linked to homicides as part of their criminal actions.
The operation was carried out in Commune 10 and was extended to other strategic sectors of the capital of Valle del Cauca. In total, the authorities carried out 16 search and seizure procedures in properties located in communes 10, 11, 12, 13 and 16, which were used as storage, coordination and shelter points for the organization.
As a result of the operation, 15 people were captured, of which 11 had current warrants and four were detained in flagrante delicto. Additionally, one more person was charged, bringing the number of prosecuted members of this criminal structure to 16.
During the procedures, the Police seized six firearms, 23 cartridges, seven suppliers, cash, equipment for dosing narcotics and more than 4,000 doses of drugs, including synthetic substances and a vial of morphine. According to the investigations, the organization obtained illicit income close to 120 million pesos per month, as a result of the marketing of approximately 6,000 doses per week.

One of the most alarming aspects revealed by the authorities was the use of street residents as human couriers, whom they used to transport drugs and weapons, reducing the risk of being detected by police controls.
Among those captured, alias ‘Diana’ stands out, a 21-year-old young woman who would have assumed the coordination of criminal activities after the capture of her partner, the ringleader of the structure in 2023. Also included are alias ‘Miguel’, a trusted man of the group, who was under house arrest for homicide; alias ‘Jaime’, supplier of narcotics for territorial expansion; aliases ‘Gafas’ and ‘Camila’, in charge of dosing and distribution; and alias ‘Tura’, alleged hitman related to a homicide that occurred on February 18.
The authorities indicated that this intervention made it possible to neutralize the operational and expansive capacity of ‘Los del Plan’, weakening their influence in various sectors of Cali. Those captured were left at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office, where they must answer for crimes such as homicide, conspiracy to commit a crime, drug trafficking and illegal possession of firearms.
