Colombian karate won the overall title at the Ayacucho – Lima 2025 Bolivarian Games, after a spectacular performance that culminated on the tatami of the Sports Coliseum of the San Ignacio de Loyola University.
The national delegation demonstrated its supremacy by achieving an impressive balance of 7 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals.
The karate results were a fundamental contribution to Colombia’s general classification in these tournaments.
The final day, held this Sunday, December 7, was marked by the exciting team kumite finals.
The Colombian men’s team was in charge of sealing the championship with a flourish.

In an atmosphere charged with electricity, national athletes faced their rivals with impeccable determination and strategy.
From the first exchange, a different rhythm was noticed: direct attacks, aggressive defenses and a perfect reading of the combat.
Previously, the women’s kumite team fought to the end in a high-voltage final against Venezuela.
The combat was described as intense, long and tactical. Despite the concentration and effort, the balance tipped in favor of the Venezuelans, leaving the Colombian team a well-deserved silver medal.
Thus, with the gold in the men’s team category and the total accumulated throughout the week, Colombian karate ended its participation in Lima as the undisputed champion of its discipline in the 2025 Bolivarian Games.
