The works on the Caribe viaduct officially began with the construction of the first supports that will support this elevated structure of the 80 Metro, one of the most ambitious mobility projects in Medellín.
The initial works are concentrated under the Mico bridge, where drilling, steel reinforcement and concrete pouring are already being carried out.
This phase includes the construction of 17 supports that will serve as a base for nearly 500 meters of the elevated viaduct, which will connect the Caribe station on line E with the Córdoba area. The structure will cross the North Highway and 65th Avenue, becoming a strategic component for mobility in the west of the city.
