The horrendous crime that shook eastern Medellín last weekend has taken a definitive turn. Laura, identified as the person allegedly responsible for setting fire to her home with her husband inside, turned herself in before the authorities in the city of Pereira, Risaralda.
The woman appeared at a police station in the capital of Risralda and was immediately taken under custody to the San Jorge Hospital.
According to the preliminary report from the authorities, Laura had injuries resulting from the same conflagration that she allegedly caused after a scene of domestic violence on January 31 in the Loreto neighborhood, in Medellín.

Laura allegedly threw gasoline through a window and then started the fire. Inside was Alexis, 27, who was hit by the flames while trying to escape from the apartment.
Alexis died last Sunday, February 1, at the Polyclinic, due to the severity of the second and third degree burns he suffered on most of his body.

This outcome occurs after it was revealed that the relationship was marked by systematic domestic violence; It was even learned that the young DJ had already been stabbed by his partner last November and had a previous complaint with the Prosecutor’s Office.
For the moment, Laura remains in custody at the Pereira hospital awaiting her court hearings.
