The waters surrounding Colombia and Venezuela were once again the scene of an unprecedented military operation that left five narco-terrorists killed.

In the last few hours, the United States Southern Command confirmed the sinking of two speedboats in a high-precision air attack, marking the second decisive blow in less than 48 hours against the transnational mafias that operate in these strategic corridors. The operation, carried out at the end of 2025, reinforces the Pentagon’s presence in an area of high geopolitical tension.

The war action occurred last Wednesday, December 31, as revealed by the US authorities through a shocking 21-second video broadcast on digital platforms.

The images show the exact moment of the bombing against the vessels that, according to the intelligence report, were operated by designated criminal organizations. The official balance indicates that three occupants died in the first boat, while in the second boat two other subjects lost their lives instantly.

This operation is part of the aggressive “Lance of the South” campaign, a military deployment that Washington has been active since last summer and that is unprecedented in recent decades.

Since September, the offensive has been relentless: nearly 40 vessels allegedly loaded with narcotics have been destroyed on the high seas, leaving a trail of approximately 110 dead people.

Donald Trump’s government has hardened its stance, using these operations as a tool of direct pressure against the government of Nicolás Maduro, which it openly describes as a “narco-state.”

Added to the destruction of boats is the policy of confiscation of oil tankers and the recent announcement of an attack against coastal infrastructure supposedly used by the Tren de Aragua criminal gang.
