The Colombia Under-16 Team secured its classification to the semifinals of the youth tournament in Santiago, Chile after beating the Universidad Católica this Thursday, December 18.

With a resounding 2-0, the national team successfully closed the group stage, demonstrating defensive solidity and high effectiveness in attack that allowed them to dominate the match from the first minutes.

The victory was achieved quickly thanks to the aim of the coffee attackers. Just at minute 6, Santiago Valecilla opened the scoring, followed shortly after by John Maturana, who at minute 14 sealed the final result.
