As part of the celebration of the 350 years of Medellín, the EPM Lightings pay an emotional tribute to two of the most representative cultural symbols of the city: the Flower Fair and the silleteros, icons of tradition, color and paisa pride.

One of the main attractions of this tour is the hanging garden installed over the Medellín River, an imposing structure made up of 9,121 luminous flowers, made by hand.

In this space, figures inspired by orchids, carnations, immortelles, pansies, cartouches, buttercups and birds of paradise stand out, emblematic species of the Silletera culture.

Thanks to its electronic programming, the assembly offers a multicolor show visible from different points of the city.

Added to this tribute are other large-format figures that are part of the route. Among them, an 11-meter-high paisa carriel, which offers an immersive experience of lights, and a replica of a traditional goat, decorated with silletas on its roof and a little chicken on the hood, evoking the ancient means of transportation used by the silleteros.

Before reaching the 33rd Street Bridge, visitors encounter a scene dedicated to the art of making silletas. There stands a monumental figure of a silletero, dressed in his traditional attire, woven by artisans from the EPM Alumbrados as a symbol of the cultural legacy that has transcended generations.

EPM extended the invitation to tour the Alumbrados with family and friends, highlighting that this Christmas experience will be available until January 12, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m.
