Minute30.com .- After the initial silence of the authorities, the names of the people who lost their lives during the air attacks in Caracas on January 3 are beginning to emerge. The partial balance shows 25 fatalities, of which 18 have been identified, whose identity reveals a deep drama: the majority were young, low-ranking soldiers and, so far, the death of a Cartagena merchant has been confirmed.
The Colombian civilian victim
The first civilian identified is Yohana Rodríguez Sierra, a 45-year-old woman from Cartagena. His death occurred in the El Hatillo municipality, near the “El Volcán” sector, where an explosion in an antenna area hit his home. Her daughter, Ana Corina Morales Sierra, 22, was injured and was the one who broke the news to her family in the department of Bolívar with a heartbreaking message: “My mother is already dead.”
The Honor Guard and the Presidential Security Battalion
The most affected group belonged to the Presidential Security Battalion No. 6, in charge of direct custody of the Miraflores Palace. The confirmed names are:
