The Bogotá Metropolitan Police confirmed the recapture of two of the four men who escaped from the Barrios Unidos Police Station last Sunday. The operation was carried out by uniformed officers from the town of Tunjuelito, where they were finally located.
According to the official report, the two recaptured persons had an arrest warrant for aggravated robbery, related to a case registered in October 2024. Both were again placed at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office, this time for the crime of prisoner escape.
From the moment of the escape, the authorities activated search and verification plans in different parts of the city. Thanks to the work of patrols on the ground and preliminary information provided by the community, the first two escapees were located in less than 48 hours.

The Police reiterated that the search for the other two men, who remain at large, is still continuing. For this reason, he called on citizens to provide information that will allow progress in his recapture.
Finally, they recalled that any data related to criminal acts or situations that affect security can be reported through Emergency Line 123, a key tool to strengthen investigative processes in the city.
