The Colombian Men’s Senior National Team, under the technical direction of Néstor Lorenzo, carried out an intensive recovery day this Saturday at its Sports Headquarters in Barranquilla.

The session, focused on physical and tactical preparation, was carried out with the aim of optimizing the players’ performance for the next challenge of the national team.

The entire group arrived at the facilities at 4:00 pm, starting the session in the gym with a physical work routine.

The first part of the day was dedicated to muscle activation and low-intensity exercises, designed to release accumulated tension and prepare the team for the next phase of training.

Later, Néstor Lorenzo divided the group in two. The first group, made up of the players who played more than 70 minutes in the recent match against Bolivia, performed active recovery exercises and stretching, focused on muscle regeneration.

The second group, made up of those with the least participation in the match, moved to the field to work on tactical and technical aspects.

On the field, the second group focused on a series of specific exercises. The players performed three types of rondos, each designed with different tasks and concepts to accomplish.

These exercises allowed the coaching staff to work on ball circulation, pressure and decision-making in small spaces, thus perfecting coordination and understanding between the players.

The training day concluded with the evaluation of the players and planning the next steps in the team’s preparation.
