The Colombian Men’s Under-16 Team has been called to carry out its seventh and last microcycle of work in 2025.
This cycle is essential in the preparation of young talents for the next CONMEBOL U-17, which will be held in 2026.
Under the direction of coach Fredy Hurtado, the team will seek to consolidate its process and refine details in the face of the international challenges that lie ahead.
The microcycle of concentration will take place in Bogotá, where the youth will work intensely from December 10 to 14. Immediately after its preparation stage in the capital, the team will embark on a trip to Chile.
In Chilean territory, the ‘Tricolor’ U-16 team is scheduled to play two high-level friendly matches between the 15th and the 21st of the same month, matches that will serve as an important test to evaluate the group’s progress in a context of international competition.
Technical director Fredy Hurtado has made public the list of the 21 players who will be part of this crucial microcycle.

The inclusion of talents such as Zinedine Zidane Bedoya Morales and José Rafael Escorcia De La Cruz, both from Atlético Nacional, underlines the breadth of the player base managed by the coaching staff.
The roster is made up of young people from eleven departments, which highlights the recruitment work at the national level.
This preparation phase, which culminates with the duels in Chile, is a key step for the sporting and personal development of those called up, who are seeking a place in the team that will represent the country in the South American tournament.
The friendly matches will be the ideal thermometer to measure the team’s competitive level before entering the final stretch of its preparation for the 2026 continental championship.
