The Colombian Olympic Committee (COC), represented by its manager, Armando Farfán Peña, actively participates in the Heads of Mission Seminar of the IV South American Youth Games Panama 2026.
The event, which began this Monday, December 15 in Panama City, is a crucial space organized by Odesur (South American Sports Organization) to socialize and coordinate the fundamental organizational guidelines.
During the first day, essential aspects such as sports technical management, operations and other key elements for the comprehensive planning of the multisports event were reviewed.
This seminar is especially relevant given that Panama will host for the first time in its history an edition of the South American Games, in any of its categories.
The COC is articulated for Panama 2026 in the Heads of Mission Seminar
In this context, the Heads of Mission have an intense agenda that includes, as confirmed by the Executive Director of Odesur, Mario Cilenti, a tour of all the sports venues on Monday afternoon and during the day on Tuesday, in order to evaluate their status and general conditions.
The IV South American Youth Games will take place between April 12 and 25, 2026 and are shaping up to be a major event.
More than 2,000 youth athletes from 14 countries in the region are expected to participate, including nations such as Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, Aruba and Curacao.
The presence of the COC in this seminar ensures that the Colombian delegation has the necessary information and preparation for its optimal performance in the fairs.
