The Attorney General’s Office carried out a disciplinary inspection at the main headquarters of Ecopetrol, in Bogotá, in development of the investigation opened by the signing of a contract for the provision of advisory services to the board of directors, for the review of the entity’s policies and processes.

The diligence was carried out by officials from the Third Delegate for State Contracting and the National Directorate of Special Investigations of the Attorney General’s Office -DNIE-, who conducted several interviews, as well as inspected and requested documents related to the signing and execution of the contract, signed for an amount close to five million dollars.

The inspection carried out is part of the evidentiary material that the control body is collecting in the development of the investigation initiated, in which it seeks to confirm or rule out the commission of an irregularity and identify the alleged perpetrators, in order to determine whether or not a disciplinary investigation is warranted.
