Jean Pool Bejarano was presented before a guarantee control judge, identified by the Attorney General’s Office as allegedly responsible for a violent attack that occurred in the capital of Valle del Cauca, which almost ended in a fatal outcome.

According to the investigative material collected by the authorities, the incident occurred on October 18, 2025 on a public road in the Talanga neighborhood, where Bejarano allegedly had an argument with another man. Minutes after the altercation, the alleged attacker allegedly attacked him with a sharp weapon.

According to official information, the victim was attacked when he was already on the ground and in a helpless condition. Due to the severity of the injuries, the man was rushed to a healthcare center, where medical personnel managed to stabilize him and save his life.

The investigation work allowed units of the Sijín of the National Police to locate and capture the alleged suspect in the Ciudad Modelo neighborhood of Cali, in compliance with a previously issued court order.

During the hearing, a prosecutor from the Cali Section charged Bejarano with the crime of attempted aggravated homicide. The defendant did not accept the charges; However, the judge considered that there were sufficient elements to impose a measure of security in a prison while the criminal process progresses.

The case remains in the investigation stage, while the authorities reiterate the call for the peaceful resolution of conflicts and to avoid acts of violence that put people’s lives at risk.
