The Superintendence of Companies officially announced the submission to “control” of the company Deportivo Pereira FCSA, after an exhaustive administrative action.

This measure, protected by article 85 of Law 222 of 1995, responds to the detection of a critical situation in the legal, accounting and administrative orders of the club, which forces the State to apply the highest level of supervision permitted by law to safeguard the stability of the institution.

Under this new figure, the Superintendency acquires extraordinary powers to intervene in the direction of the organization.

Its powers include the ability to issue direct orders, demand urgent improvement plans and restrict specific acts or operations.

Likewise, permanent monitoring will be carried out on the management of the administrators in order to guarantee financial transparency and immediately correct the identified risks that threaten the team.

The troubles for Deportivo Pereira do not stop: Supersociedades puts them under control

The main objective of this intervention is to promote a comprehensive recovery of the Matecaña club. Through technical and detailed support, the authority seeks to strengthen corporate governance and restore operational normality, ensuring that the company is sustainable over time.

In this regard, Superintendent Billy Escobar emphasized that the measure seeks to protect stakeholders and apply effective preventive recovery strategies.

Finally, it should be noted that this decision is not final, since the company has the right to file reconsideration and appeal resources as established by current regulations.

Meanwhile, the Superintendency reaffirmed its commitment to preserving economic public order and guaranteeing that the club complies with the legal and constitutional framework that governs companies in Colombia.

While Pereira faces these problems, the BetPlay League will start hosting Llaneros de Villavicencio in the middle of the controversy.
