Minute30.com .- The Superintendency of Home Public Services (Superservicios) announced this Wednesday that it has ordered the company Vanti SA to return all of the improper charges made in gas rates to more than 2.5 million users in the country.
According to the entity, the rate increases applied by Vanti in the months of January (4.95%) and February (35.5%) were not duly justified, and therefore it is considered that they violated the rights of users. Consequently, the return of 100% of the amounts irregularly collected was ordered.
In addition, Superservicios imposed a Management Program on a public service company for the first time, forcing Vanti to adjust its operation and reporting. The entity also noted that the company presented irregular information about the availability of gas, which aggravated the situation.
The measures seek to protect users’ pockets and guarantee greater transparency in the provision of home public services.
