Minute30.com .- The Colombian Navy carried out a successful rescue in the last hours in Pacific waters, managing to safeguard the lives of six people who were adrift off the coast of Buenaventura.

The emergency arose when two artisanal fishing vessels were immobilized on the high seas. The main cause was the difficult weather conditions in the area, which caused fuel depletion in both ships.

Coast Guard Acts Quickly

Thanks to the quick action of the Buenaventura Coast Guard Station, the Navy was able to respond to the distress call in a timely manner. Not only was the life of the crew saved, but the two fishing boats were also recovered and towed.

This rescue reaffirms the commitment of the National Navy to the safety of human life at sea and the protection of the artisanal fishermen’s union in the Colombian Pacific.
