An overturn on Regional Avenue was recorded on the morning of this Thursday, January 8, generating moments of tension and traffic congestion near the Ayurá Metro station, in the south-north direction of the Aburrá Valley.

According to preliminary information, the driver of a private vehicle lost control of the steering wheel for reasons that are still the subject of investigation, which caused the car to end up overturning on the road.

After the accident, several citizens who were passing through the sector alerted the authorities, which allowed the rapid arrival of emergency agencies and traffic agents. Units in charge of securing the area, addressing the situation and carrying out the necessary work to restore traffic flow are present at the site.

At this time, the driver’s health status is unknown, as is whether there were other people involved in the road accident.

Authorities have not confirmed whether the accident was related to speeding, mechanical failure or any other condition that influenced the loss of control of the vehicle.
