The Cali authorities announced a reward of up to $50 million pesos for information that allows the capture of the city’s most wanted criminals, accused of being involved in high-impact crimes such as homicide, theft, micro-trafficking and illegal possession of firearms. The measure is part of a security reinforcement strategy prior to the Cali Fair.

According to the balance provided by the Metropolitan Police, the investigative work has already allowed the capture of five people who were on this priority list. However, three alleged criminals remain at large, which is why the call to citizens to collaborate with information that facilitates their location was intensified.

“These are Cristian Alejandro, Marlon and Carlos Mauricio. We need the public to help us locate these criminals,” said Colonel Andrés Arias, deputy commander of the Cali Police, reiterating that any information will be received confidentially and securely.

In parallel, and as part of the security deployment prior to the December festivities, the Police dismantled the criminal structure known as ‘Los del Plan’, dedicated to drug trafficking and linked to several homicides in different communes of the city. During the operation, 16 people were captured and firearms, drugs and cash were seized.
