The Attorney General’s Office confirmed the imposition of a security measure in a prison against Anderson, identified as one of the presumed involved in the homicide of Harold Aroca, the 16-year-old boy kidnapped, tortured and murdered in the Los Laches neighborhood, in the center of Bogotá.
This case, which occurred on August 5, has generated deep indignation among citizens due to the brutality with which it was committed and because it involved a minor.
According to the investigation, Harold was last seen in a park in the area when he was on his way to sports training, accompanied by several men who would have later taken him to an isolated area.
The evidence collected by investigators establishes that Anderson would have participated in the retention of the teenager and in his subsequent transfer to the place where he was subjected to physical abuse before being attacked with a firearm.
The minor’s body was found four days later by his relatives in a nearby wooded area. Preliminary hypotheses indicate that the homicide of Harold Aroca would be related to retaliation for comments that the victim had made about illegal activities of a criminal organization that operates in the sector. Even days before the murder, Harold would have said at his educational institution that he knew those responsible for a recent crime that occurred in the area.

A guarantee control judge ordered his sending to a prison while the judicial process progresses.
Meanwhile, the Bogotá Mayor’s Office confirmed on November 22 the capture of a second person involved, known as alias Chará, who would also be part of the criminal structure related to the crime.
Mayor Carlos Fernando Galán stressed that the investigation continues to identify all those responsible for this case that has shocked the capital.
