In Bogotá, gunpowder is once again at the center of the alerts. In an operation carried out in the town of Kennedy, uniformed Metropolitan Police officers seized nearly 35 kilos of pyrotechnic material that were being distributed illegally at the beginning of the holiday season.

The police action was developed thanks to information from the community within the Bogotá Walk Safe strategy, which made it possible to reach the Altamar neighborhood, where a patrol detected a citizen with several black bags in a suspicious attitude.

When carrying out the search, they confirmed that he was carrying more than 10,000 units of gunpowder, including volcanoes, flyers, hammers, butterflies, snakes and sparks, with a value close to $5 million in the illegal market.
