The situation became chaotic, with the pit bull, which was in a state of alert due to the conflict, reacting aggressively to the arrival of the uniformed officers.
Lina said that when she tried to calm the dog, the animal bit her on the leg. The woman, who lives with her 14-month-old baby, thanked the patrol officer for his bravery in intervening in such a dangerous situation.
“I have a lot to thank the uniformed man who helped me, and he was the only patrolman who had the courage to get involved, regardless of seeing that it was a dog that is already aggressive, attacking me as the owner, and he didn’t think about it and got involved”said the owner of the pitbull killed by the police.

The official statement indicated that the intervention was carried out to protect the integrity of those present, including the woman and her baby.
Lina María concluded her statement by expressing her pain for the loss of her pet, but also her gratitude towards the patrolman who risked his life to protect his family.
