Colombia continues to demonstrate its sporting power at the XX Bolivarian Games Ayacucho and Lima 2025, maintaining a firm lead in the medal table and being just four gold medals away from reaching the historic figure of 100 golds.
After a fruitful day this Tuesday, December 2, the national delegation added more triumphs, raising its tally to 96 gold medals, 83 silver and 55 bronze, for a total of 234 medals.
The day was marked by notable victories. In athletics, the track was dyed yellow, blue and red with five new Bolivarian champions.
These golds were thanks to Valeria Araújo in the women’s 100 meter hurdles; Ronal Longa in 100 meter dash; Ronald Thick on Bullet Drive; Arnovis Dalmero in long jump and
Julio Ángulo in decathlon.
For its part in track cycling, the velodrome witnessed Colombian dominance with two golds.
They were those obtained by Lina Hernández, who was crowned champion in omnium, and Kevin Quintero who won in the men’s speed, a test in which Cristian Ortega was awarded silver.
For its part in men’s volleyball, the Colombian Men’s Volleyball Team closed its participation with a flourish.
This after beating Venezuela 3-0 with authority, achieving a perfect campaign to obtain the Bolivarian title.
In judo Francisco José Balanta won gold in the -100 kilogram category, demonstrating great strategy and technique.

In addition, the country added silver thanks to Brigitte Carabalí, Luisa Bonilla, Brenda Olaya and Daniel Paz.
Likewise, Colombia finished its performance in billiards with a very positive balance of five golds, two silvers and one bronze.
This Tuesday, Andrea Cardona said goodbye as Bolivarian runner-up in the individual modality of heyball.
In baseball, the national team achieved its third consecutive victory after defeating Venezuela 8-6 in an exciting extra inning. This Wednesday, Colombia will face El Salvador.
The men’s team fell in the semifinals on penalties against Paraguay (1-1 in regulation time) and will now seek the bronze medal by facing Venezuela this Wednesday, December 3 at 11:00 am
The duo of Juliana Lozada and Ana Isaza secured their place in the women’s team final, which will be played next Friday against Chile.
In Ayacucho, boxing secured three places in the final with Kelly Benítez (54 kg.), Camila Camilo (65 kg.) and José Viáfara (65 kg.). Valeria Arboleda won the bronze medal after falling in the semifinals.
