A quick reaction from the National Police prevented the theft from a property belonging to a renowned content creator in the Cachimbal village, a rural area of ​​the municipality of Vijes, in Valle del Cauca. The incident, which occurred last Friday night, ended with the capture of four alleged criminals and the recovery of the stolen objects.

According to the official report, a call to the single emergency line alerted the authorities about the assault in progress. The uniformed officers immediately activated a ‘Padlock’ plan, a strategy that allowed them to locate and intercept the suspects a few minutes after they fled the property in a high-end vehicle.

In the operation, three men and a woman, aged between 23 and 25, were captured, who had in their possession jewelry, watches and cell phones valued at nearly 70 million pesos. According to the preliminary investigation, the items had been stolen through violence and intimidation with a firearm.

During the procedure, the agents also seized the vehicle in which those involved were traveling and a weapon with modified ammunition. In addition, it was found that two of those captured have a history of crimes such as conspiracy to commit a crime and kidnapping.

The four detainees were placed at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office, where they must answer for the crimes of personal injury, illegal possession of firearms and qualified and aggravated robbery. A guarantee control judge imposed an intramural security measure on them while the investigations progress.

The authorities highlighted that the timely action of the community, by immediately reporting the incident, and the rapid response of the Police were decisive in thwarting the assault and recovering the stolen items.
