On the morning of this Thursday, February 12, a spectacular road accident paralyzed traffic in the north of Medellín, leaving a man in critical conditions. The accident occurred near Juanes Park, in a south-north direction, when a motorcyclist violently collided with a public service bus.
The magnitude of the impact was such that the motorcycle driver was literally embedded in one of the parts of the bus.
Despite the seriousness of the scene, the health units and the Fire Department that attended the accident confirmed that the man still had vital signs at the time of his rescue.

The rescuers had to carry out complex extraction maneuvers to free the injured person from among the cans, while the traffic agents carried out the relevant closures on the road to facilitate emergency work.
The motorcyclist was rushed to a healthcare center with a reserved prognosis, given the very high severity of his injuries.
Due to the attention to the case and the initial criminalistics work at the site, mobility on the North Highway was seriously affected for much of the morning. However, the authorities reported that the traffic flow has already been enabled, although they recommended that drivers travel with extreme caution to avoid new incidents in this high accident rate sector.
