The motorcyclist who was involved in a spectacular accident in the early hours of this Thursday, February 12, lost his life due to the severity of his injuries.

The accident, which was recorded in videos circulating on social networks, occurred near the Juanes de la Paz Park, when the driver violently collided with the back of an intermunicipal services bus that was covering the route to the municipality of Copacabana.

Although initially the rescue units indicated that he had vital signs, it was confirmed that he later died due to the severity of his injuries.

The accident generated a massive collapse in mobility on the North Highway for several hours, while traffic agents regulated the traffic flow and recommended detours to Regional Avenue.

The mobility authorities of Medellín reiterated the call for caution and to respect safety distances, especially in this road corridor where high speed is usually the common factor in tragedies like this.

So far, the identity of the victim has not been officially revealed by Forensic Medicine.
