The kidnapping of Miguel Ayala, son of the renowned popular music artist Giovanny Ayala, continues to generate national concern, after the singer himself publicly asked President Gustavo Petro to intervene to achieve the young man’s release.

The artist assured that his family is “destroyed” and that he needs urgent support from the Government.

Miguel Ayala, 21 years old, was kidnapped on November 18 on the Pan-American Highway, near the village of El Túnel, rural area of ​​Cauca. The young man was traveling to Palmira to take a flight to Bogotá after appearing in Popayán. His manager, Nicolás Pantoja, was also plagiarized.

The first investigations indicate that the two young men would have been held by men from the Jaime Martínez structure, one of the dissidents with the greatest presence in the southwest of the country. The vehicle in which they were traveling was intercepted by two motorcycles and a car, and was then diverted to a rural area identified as Las Tres Margaritas.

In a video released this Saturday, November 22, the singer’s father made a distressing call: “I ask the president to send his entire Gaula, Police and Sijín team. Please, I need my son’s quick return.” The artist assured that Miguel and Nicolás were only seeking to bring their music to the municipalities hardest hit by violence.

For their part, the authorities confirmed that the case is already in the hands of specialized units and that they are working under kidnapping protocols. The commander of the Cali Metropolitan Police, Colonel Henry Yesid Bello Cubides, explained that the arrest occurred when the young people were traveling in a flatbed vehicle and were surprised by armed individuals in a rural area.

Miguel Ayala, who has followed in his father’s musical footsteps, participated in different television formats and has millions of views on digital platforms. The uncertainty over his whereabouts keeps family, followers and the artistic sector on alert.
