Since 11:37 in the morning of this Wednesday, February 18, Medellín’s mass transportation system faces a complex operational situation.
Metrocable line K, which connects the Acevedo and Santo Domingo stations, is out of service due to a technical problem.
Given the magnitude of the damage, which according to preliminary reports could not be resolved quickly, the Medellín Metro, in coordination with the Aburrá Valley Metropolitan Area, immediately activated a Continuity Plan to guarantee the mobility of thousands of affected users in communes 1 and 2.
The emergency strategy seeks to mitigate the impact on travelers’ movements through the use of integrated and feeder routes.

According to the company, citizens can opt for route C6-017, which directly connects the Santo Domingo and Acevedo stations without intermediate stops.
Likewise, those near the Andalucía station can board route C6-012A towards Acevedo, while at the Popular and Tricentenario stations the service of route C6-013 has been enabled to facilitate the flow of passengers.
The authorities have asked the community to check the fares before boarding and to remain calm during transfers.
