During this December, the Medellín Metro schedules will have special changes to facilitate the mobility of thousands of users in the Aburrá Valley.
The company announced night extensions, holiday adjustments and key recommendations to ensure agile, safe and sustainable travel during this season.
The Medellín Metro confirmed that on Friday the 5th, Saturday the 6th, Friday the 12th, Saturday the 13th, Friday the 19th and Saturday the 20th of December, commercial operations will be extended until 12:00 at night on lines A, B, T, H, J, K, M and P, in addition to keeping all transfers active.

This expansion seeks to respond to the increase in travel during the holiday season and offer more alternatives to return home.
However, the entity clarified that bus lines 1, 2, O, and the feeders of Cuencas 3 and 6, will not have extended hours.

Specific changes on December 24 and 31
For the Christmas and New Year celebrations, the Metro reported that on Wednesday, December 24 and 31, the commercial operation will conclude at 10:00 p.m., guaranteeing the connection with the trunk lines and cables.
Earliest start on December 25 and January 1
On holidays December 25 and January 1, 2026, the Metro network will begin operation at 5:00 in the morning on lines A, B, T, 1, 2 and O. The overhead cables will maintain the usual schedule on Sundays and holidays.
The company recommended that users previously recharge their Civic card or app to speed up access to stations, and recalled the importance of maintaining Metro Culture on all journeys.
These adjustments seek to facilitate the mobility of citizens in a season that, historically, has high demand for public transportation.
