Yicel Jurado Montilla, alias Vanesa; Brayan Stiven Paz Luligo, aka Masco; and Camilo Andrés Ochoa Huertas, three members of the Jaime Martínez structure of the FARC dissidents, accepted through a preliminary agreement signed with the Attorney General’s Office their responsibility in a wave of terrorist attacks in Valle del Cauca.
By direct instruction of alias Marlon, top leader of the illegal armed group to which they belong, these three people went to the sector known as Villa Colombia, in Jamundí, to receive two orange construction briefcases with explosive devices, which were conditioned to be activated simultaneously and remotely.
The investigation led by prosecutors from the Delegate for Territorial Security established that these elements were transferred and installed on Sachamate Avenue and in the roundabout on the Pan-American Highway in the El Rodeo neighborhood. One managed to explode and caused damage to the infrastructure; while the other was discovered by the authorities and detonated in a controlled manner.
For all of the above and in accordance with the terms of the pre-agreements entered into, a specialized criminal judge sentenced Jurado Montilla and Paz Luligo to 10 years and 9 months in prison, and to pay a fine equivalent to 4,025 current legal monthly minimum wages; and sentenced Ochoa Huertas to 6 years in prison and a fine of 2,025 current legal monthly minimum wages.
