In an inspection and control operation in the town of Bosa, authorities from the Bogotá Metropolitan Police, with the support of the Security Secretariat and the Local Mayor’s Office, intervened in bars and night establishments in the Brasilia, Piamonte and Santa Fe sectors, where they found a minor consuming alcohol in the company of her father.

During the megatake, the uniformed officers verified the identity of the attendees. In a bar in the Piamonte sector, the teenager tried to identify herself with the ID number of a 42-year-old woman, but her physical appearance showed the inconsistency. After several questions, the young woman admitted to being 17 years old.

The situation became complicated when it was confirmed that the minor’s father allowed her to consume alcohol inside the establishment. The authorities warned him that, in the event of a repeat offense, protective measures could be activated, including the possible loss of custody of his daughter.

The teenager was removed from the place and returned to her caregiver, under formal warning, and the bar was sealed for ten days for allowing the entry and consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Later, in the Brasilia sector, the megatakeover continued with the inspection of another establishment that operated under the façade of a union. During the search, a sharp weapon was found in the possession of an assistant, which is why the premises were also temporarily closed for ten days.

The Ministry of Security reported that these night operations will continue in areas where citizens have reported problems of insecurity and the presence of minors at risk, with the aim of protecting children and adolescents, and guarantee that night establishments comply with current regulations.

With these actions, the authorities seek to prevent risk situations, strengthen surveillance in Bosa and ensure the protection of minors and coexistence in the town’s public spaces.
