The case in Manrique, which initially generated outrage after the complaint of two students who claimed to have seen an alleged obscene act inside a vehicle, took an unexpected turn in the last few hours with the appearance of a new video that shows the version of the accused.

In the recording, the man decides to speak directly to the camera to explain what happened and ensure that his behavior did not correspond to any improper act, but, as he claims, to a physiological need, a situation that he claims to frequently face due to his physical condition.

“I am the person who is appearing in the videos. I am a disabled person. When I have a physiological need I have to immediately push myself or press a little while I push myself. This is the position in which I hold the jar to urinate”he said, showing the container he uses to relieve himself.

The man added that his vehicle is adapted to facilitate his mobility, which, he says, supports his condition. He also expressed fear about hasty accusations and the consequences that this could entail.

“For something someone says without knowing, one can be killed. I hope that people who have disabled relatives understand my situation”he stated.

Presumably, the man also appeared before the authorities to explain the events. Until now there was no statement from the Police.

This case in Manrique occurs amid growing alerts in the city regarding possible abusive sexual acts.
