A violent crime shook the inhabitants of the town of Bosa, in Bogotá, during the night of last Monday, December 15, after the authorities confirmed the discovery of the lifeless body of a 59-year-old man inside his house, located in the Carbonell neighborhood.

Apparently, the victim was found gagged, with multiple blows to her body and tied hands and feet, in an event that would be related to an alleged robbery.

The man was a well-known merchant in the sector, which reinforces the hypothesis of a premeditated attack for criminal purposes.

According to the first versions, the events would have occurred when several individuals arrived at the merchant’s residence. Hours later, relatives of the victim went to the property, but when they received no response and noticed an irregular situation, they decided to alert the authorities.

Uniformed members of the Bogotá Metropolitan Police were present at the scene and, after entering the house, they confirmed the macabre discovery. Immediately, the area was cordoned off to carry out the work of judicial inspection and collection of evidence by investigators.

The authorities indicated that those responsible for the crime would have fled through the roofs of the surrounding homes, taking advantage of the darkness and complexity of the sector, which makes their identification difficult for now. At the moment, the incident continues to be investigated.
