The Attorney General’s Office presented before a criminal guarantee control judge a woman accused of causing the death of her two-year-old and 11-month-old daughter on July 26 in an apartment located in the San Sebastián neighborhood, in Manizales (Caldas).
National Police units responded to the call from the community, which warned about noise and screams coming from the property. Upon entering the place they found the minor with several injuries and the aggressor with injuries that had allegedly been inflicted. During the verifications they also found a sharp weapon, a cell phone and several letters written by the girl’s mother.

The victim finally died at a hospital. Meanwhile, a prosecutor from the Special Investigation Unit for Crimes against Children and Adolescents (UENNA) of the Caldas Section charged the woman with the crime of aggravated homicide.
The defendant did not accept the charge and must comply with a security measure in a prison.
